REGISTER of MERIT Program (ROM)
 

The Dutch Shepherd Dog Club of America Register of Merit (ROM) program has been established to acknowledge the contribution of outstanding Dutch Shepherd Sires and Dams in proven ability to produce working aptness and versatility in their UKC registered offspring.  By recognizing the contributions of notable Sires and Dams, the ROM Program will be a source of information for breeders in their quest to produce the exceptional dog that looks AND performs equally well, and for all other interested parties to learn of the top producers influencing UKC registered Dutch Shepherd dogs.

Eligibility is determined by the Historical Top Producers lists (SIRES and DAMS) compiled by the United Kennel Club using all data for Dutch Shepherd progeny whelped on or after January 1, 2002 and for that progeny's titles earned and processed after January  1, 2002.

BREEDER of MERIT Program

Minimum Requirements for BREEDER of MERIT Applicants:

1. Must document at least 10 years of active involvement in United Kennel Club events with dogs of this breed of which the applicant was the breeder of record and/or the owner/co-owner of record.

2. Must document three generations of breeding UKC registered Dutch Shepherds, with representatives of all three generations having earned UKC conformation and/or performance titles.

3. Must document 20 UKC Performance Event titled dogs of this breed of which they were the breeder of record.  Applicant must have been the owner/co-owner of record of at least 5 of these performance titled dogs.
4. Must document 15 UKC Champions of this breed of which they were the breeder of record.  Applicant must have been the owner/co-owner of record of at least 5 of these Champions.
5. Must document 10 dual titled dogs (in both UKC Performance Events and Conformation) of this breed of which they were the breeder of record.  Applicant must have been the owner/co-owner of record of at least 5 of these dual titled dogs.
6. Must be in good standing of the United Kennel Club and the Dutch Shepherd Dog Club of America (UKC Provisional National Breed Club for the Dutch Shepherd).
7. Must certify that applicable health screens are performed on your breeding stock as recommended by the Dutch Shepherd Provisional National Breed Club (OFA H/E).
8. Must demonstrate a commitment to ensuring 100% of the Dutch Shepherd puppies you produce are UKC registered.
